European countries continue to support the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist organization, as this time, Scandinavian nation Sweden targeted Turkey.

“Lilla Aktuellt,”a Swedish television program for children which has been broadcasting since 1993 and is on schools’ compulsory curriculum, targeted Turkey’s Peace Spring Operation in Syria. In an episode aired on Oct. 11, 2019, it falsely presented Turkey as a state that “massacres Kurds and Christians.”

The education scandal drew fire from Turkish families living in the country, as their children were ostracized and attacked by classmates. They said that the children were being brainwashed with fake news about Turkey in schools with the endorsement of the government.

Zeliha Cömert Taşkın, who lives with her family in Sweden, stated that she was shocked when her child came home asking, ‘’Why is Turkey slaughtering Kurds and Christians?” after having watched Lilla Aktuellt.

Taşkın then took to social media, criticizing the school management for discrimination against Turks. She specified that Turkey in fact conducted its operation in Syria to purge elements of the PKK/YPG terror group and not kill the Kurds.

Similar complaints of other Turkish families living in Sweden propelled the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm to take action and it demanded an apology from the institution.

On Oct. 9, Turkey launched Operation Peace Spring to eliminate terrorists from northern Syria east of the Euphrates River in order to secure Turkey’s borders, aid in the safe return of Syrian refugees, and ensure Syria’s territorial integrity.

On Oct. 17, Ankara agreed with Washington to pause its operation to allow YPG/PKK terrorists to withdraw from the planned safe zone.

And on Oct. 22, Ankara and Moscow reached a deal under which YPG/PKK terrorists will pull back 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) south of Turkey’s border with Syria within 150 hours, and security forces from Turkey and Russia will mount joint patrols there.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the European Union -- has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants. The YPG is the Syrian offshoot of the PKK.
