At least 22 suspects were held in Istanbul over their links to terrorist group PYD/PKK, police said Wednesday.
The arrests were made over alleged PYD/PKK propaganda during Nevruz spring festival celebrations, said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media.
Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) organized the event in Istanbul’s Bakirkoy district on the European side, the source added.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU.
