Turkish chemical sector exports jumped sharply in April, almost 70% year-on-year, according to new figures out Tuesday.
Sector exports totaled $2.16 billion in April and $7.46 billion in the first four months of the year, according to data compiled from Turkish Exporters Assembly data.
The country's overall exports climbed 109% to $18.76 billion year-on-year in April, while it had exports of $68.75 billion this January-April.
Adil Pelister, head of the Istanbul Chemical and Chemical Products Exporters' Association, said the chemical sector continues to be Turkey's second-largest export sector.
