Five main Turkish political parties, including the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party, have cancelled their official parliamentary group meetings as a precaution to halt the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The ruling Justice and Development (AK), Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Party, Republican People’s Party (CHP), IYI Party and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) on Sunday decided not to hold group meetings.
The Parliament Speaker’s Office had earlier said in a statement that the weekly parliamentary group meetings will not accept any visitors.
Turkey’s parliament on Friday barred visitors through March 31 as a precaution against coronavirus.
