In a move likely to draw Turkish opposition, the US military has dispatched 40 vehicles of military reinforcement to its bases in areas occupied by the PKK/YPG terror group in northeastern Syria .

A convoy of US forces entered Syria's Hasakah province from the al-Waleed border crossing between Iraq and Syria at night, local sources said Thursday.

The convoy, including Bradley-type armored vehicles carrying American soldiers, first reached a military base in the town of Rumaylan in Hasakah.

Including military vehicles laden with fuel, medical supplies, and ammunition, it then moved to the Tal Baydar base in the province's northwest.

Since 2015, US forces in Syria have trained thousands of YPG/PKK terrorists in their military bases in the region under the pretext of combating terrorism.

The US has also provided YPG/PKK terrorists with huge amounts of weapons and combat equipment.

Türkiye has long objected to the US allying itself with the YPG/PKK in the name of fighting Daesh/ISIS, saying that using one terrorist group to fight another makes no sense.

Ankara has also strenuously objected to the US providing supplies and training to the terrorist group, which is based in opposition-held areas of northern Syria.

In its nearly 40-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and the EU – has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants. The terrorist YPG is the PKK's Syrian branch.
