Turkish citizens across the country celebrate AK Party's victory

As the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) won more than 49 percent of the vote in Turkey's 26th general elections on Sunday, people poured into streets and squares all over the country. The first address of celebration was AK Party headquarters, located in the capital of Turkey. Thousands of supporters gathered outside to celebrate victory and listen to Davutoğlu's “balcony speech.”Victory was also celebrated all night in Istanbul. Thousands of people flocked to the streets and main squares and drove around in convoys to celebrate the win in nearly all districts. The streets of Adana, Tokat and Malatya also saw citizens celebrating exuberantly after the AK Party's victory. In Sivas, İzmir and many other provinces, people ran into the streets to proclaim the victory with carrying Turkish and AK Party flags, singing party songs and playing drums. The election outcome was celebrated elsewhere in the world. People from Middle East and Balkans, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Serbia and Gaza, people gathered and shouted slogans in the name of the AK Party and Davutoğlu.
