Cameroonian football star Samuel Eto'o has retired from football at the age of 38, according to Cameroonian media.

Eto'o has played for football heavyweights Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea during his career.

The 38-year-old forward lifted four Champions League titles with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter.

Cameroonian player scored 26 goals in the 2006-2007 season and became the top goal scorer for Barcelona in the Spanish League.

During his football career, Eto'o played for many European clubs such as Spain's Real Madrid, Barcelona, Espanyol, RCD Mallorca and English team Everton and Italy's Inter Milan.

Cameroonian forward also played for Antalyaspor and Konyaspor from 2015 to 2018 in Turkey and he lastly played for Qatar Sports Club in Qatar.

Eto'o was a part of the Cameroon squad during the 2002, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups.

He also made 118 appearances for Cameroon and produced 56 goals for his country.

Throughout his club career, Eto'o scored 359 goals and made 116 assists in 718 games.
