Turkey's opponents in EuroBasket 2022 unveiled

The Turkish men's national basketball team will face Spain, Russia, Georgia, Belgium and Bulgaria in the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 Group A according to the draw was held on Thursday in Berlin.

There are 24 nations including Turkey in the EuroBasket 2022 to be hosted by Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy and Georgia from Sept. 1-18, 2022.

Berlin and Cologne in Germany, as well as Milan in Italy, Prague in the Czech Republic and Tbilisi in Georgia are to host the European basketball championship.

The final phase of the tournament, including the last 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, third-place game and the 2022 final, will be played in Berlin.

The group matches will be held in Prague, Tbilisi, Cologne and Milan.

The best four teams from each group will qualify for the final phase.

World No.15 in basketball, Turkey, will play their group matches in the Georgian capital Tbilisi.

Slovenia are the defending EuroBasket champions.

Group B (Cologne): Germany, Lithuania, France, Slovenia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Group D (Prague): Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia, Finland, Israel, Netherlands
