22 year-old Yesim Bostan wins silver medal in compound bow outdour event of World Archery Championships in Mexico City

Female Turkish archer Yesim Bostan has won the silver medal in the compound bow outdour event of the 2017 World Archery Championships in Mexico City.

In a written message on Sunday, Turkish Youths and Sports Minister Osman Askin Bak celebrated Bostan for her success.

“I believe our national sportswoman will represent our country in the best way in the coming events as well,” he said.

Yesim Bostan, 22, was beaten by 21-year-old South Korean archer Song Yun-soo 145-143 in the final on Saturday.

She had defeated German archer 29-year-old Kristina Heigenhauser145-141 in the semi-final.

Bostan made her international debut in 2014, winning the bronze medal with the coumpound junior team at the World Archery Indoor Championships in Nimes, France.

The 2017 Hyundai World Archery Championships started on Oct. 15, in Mexico City, Mexico and end on Sunday.
