Two Turkish wrestlers were crowned world champions in Greco-Roman style Tuesday in the 2015 World Wrestling Championships in Las Vegas.

Turkish wrestler Riza Kayaalp beat Cuban Mijain Lopez Nunez 1-0 to win the gold medal in the 130-kilogram category.

“I just finished a legend," 25-year-old Kayaalp, winner of previous world and European titles, said after beating Nunez, 33, in Orleans Arena. Nunez was previously crowned world champion five times and Olympic champion twice.

Separately, Turkish wrestler Selcuk Cebi beat Belarusian Viktar Sasunouski 3-0 to win the gold medal in the 80-kilogram category.

Cebi dedicated the gold medal to Turkey's population. “Our country is going through a period of turmoil, there are martyrs. I would be very happy if this medal gives a little moral to the families of those martyred," he said, referring to soldiers martyred by PKK terrorists this summer. This is Cebi's third world title.

The 2015 World Wrestling Championships in three disciplines: Men's Greco-Roman, Women's Freestyle and Men's Freestyle are being held between Sept. 7 and 12.
