Over the last few years, drones are being widely used across many of the world’s top industries for various purposes.
Turkish mobile network giant Turkcell has launched a new initiative to clean up city streets by using drones.
The drones will be able to locate trash and waste materials and carry them to the nearest rubbish bin. They will also be capable of separating garbage into categories such as paper, plastic, glass and metal.
Different kind of modules will be used for collecting image data of the streets, gripping the objects by using an integrated arm, and detecting the dust bins with a positioning system, including communication modules.
Turkcell spearheaded the GSM-based mobile communication in Turkey when it started operations in 1994.
Since then, it has continuously expanded its services based on mobile audio and data communication.
