On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 0.46 percent to close the day at 94,974.45 points with a daily trading volume of 7 billion Turkish liras ($1.33 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 5.2470 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), compared with Monday's closing rate of 5.2810.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 5.9790, versus 5.9850 at the last close. One British pound traded for 6.7020 Turkish liras, as the GBP/TRY exchange rate was 6.7040 by market close on Monday.
The price of Brent oil rose by over 6 percent to $62.33 per barrel as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0700GMT) Tuesday, versus $61.68 on Monday's closing.
