Elephants at Sydney's Taronga Zoo stayed cool on Wednesday with a splashing good time in a pond to help stave off the stifling heat hitting parts of southeastern Australia. Giraffes kept their cool by drinking from a hose, as echidnas lapped up a lump of frozen food and sea lions snapped up frozen pieces of fish.Vast parts of New South Wales state is predicted to exceed 41 degrees Celsius until Friday (January 19), the Bureau of Meteorology said.
