Llamas, alpacas are dying as cold snap hits Bolivia, Peru

Temperatures have plunged across Bolivia and Peru as a cold snap passes through the Andes, causing havoc for llama and alpaca farmers as they lose their cattle due to the unseasonly cold weather. In some areas of Bolivia's Andes temperatures have dropped to as much as minus 14 degrees Celsius. In areas like El Alto and Oruro, cattle farmers are struggling to keep their animals alive due to the cold weather and shortages in feed.
