The giant panda Shuang Shuang, who was born in Mexico City's zoo, turned 31 on Friday and is considered to be the longest-lived giant panda outside of China, according to the Mexican authorities. Shuang Shuang was born on June 15, 1987, and is the sixth of the seven offspring of Ying Ying and Bei Bei, which China gave to Mexico in 1975 and who are considered to be the most prolific panda bear couple outside of the country, said the secretariat of Mexico's local environmental department.
