Visitors throng world’s third lion park in Istanbul

Aslan Park, the world's third zoo exclusively consisting of big cats, has opened to visitors in Istanbul. The zoo cares for more than a dozen specimens of 7 different species including lions, Siberian and Bengal tigers, pumas and leopards under the watchful eye of two highly qualified veterinarians and five technical staff. Designed to the standards of the European Association of Zoos, the felines were chosen from among documented specimens which have been living in zoos for at least four generations.
