An abandoned tiger cub is being well nurtured by a devoted zookeeper in northeast China's Shenyang City. The female cub, named 'Bao Li', was discarded by its mother when it was born in January this year. According to tiger keepers, it can be common for a new tiger mother to leave its first-born baby, often due to being unfamiliar with the role of motherhood. Keeper Wang Xinyu, a worker at the Strange Slope Northeast Tiger Park, has stepped in to take care of the two-month-old cub, acting as its mother by feeding and monitoring the youngster's health condition around the clock. According to Wang, he fed the cub with sheep milk at first but began to offer Bao Li meat paste when she was one month old. Under Wang's watchful eye, the adorable young cub has now grown to a very healthy six kilograms. Wang is looking forward to seeing the cub's development, and will soon get the chance to take her outside, according to his colleague.
