The video footage shows an Indian Red Sand Boa snake, a very special species. Its head and tail resemble each other strongly, a feature which probably evolved to confuse predators. It looks as if it has two heads, especially when startled. Some cultures in the regions where it lives consider it a good-luck symbol. The Indian Red Boa, Eryx johnii, is a nonvenomous boa species native to Iran, Pakistan, and India.
