300-kg obese man gets crane rescue in France

Morbidly obese Frenchman Alain Panabiere, who was trapped in the living room of his house for more than a year due to weighing over 300 kilograms and not being able to descend the stairs, was removed from his home with the help of a crane. Panabiere was first placed on a soft surface and then transported to a private ambulance with a container-like platform. The doctor who coordinated the rescue operation said that Panabiere is currently doing 'very well.' He will reportedly be placed in a private center for treatment in a few weeks.
