Aliyev slams BBC reporter, says West has no 'moral right' to preach on free media

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev gave an astonishing answer to a BBC reporter in an interview who claimed that there is no free speech in Azerbaijan. 'How do you assess what happend to Assange? Is it a reflection of free media in your country? You kept that person hostage for his journalism activity. You did it, not us. Now he is in prison. You have no moral right to talk about free media when you do such things,' Aliyev said, leaving the host at a loss for words as she drastically changed the subject.
