Abdullah Faliq, head of research at the Cordoba Foundation, says British Muslims traditionally vote for the Labour Party, but it would not be right to “pigeonhole' a whole community politically. He also added that this week's general election will be “crucial,' as it will “shape the future of our society.' Faliq said the issues associated with Muslims in terms of this election are Islamophobia, anti-Muslim hatred, job markets, discrimination at the workplace and education.
