Baghdad's first female car mechanic challenges stereotypes

Breaking gender stereotypes in a male-dominated sector, a 36-year old Iraqi woman has been working as the only female car mechanic of Baghdad for years. Meysun Abdurrahim studied language and literature at university but made her career as a repair woman. After graduating from two universities, Arabic Language and Literature Department and the Department of Islamic Sciences, she looked for an appropriate position in the field. As she was not satisfied with the jobs available, Abdurrahim changed her mind and followed in her father's footsteps.
