Barcelona's beaches were covered with snow on Thursday afternoon. Videos and photos uploaded to social media showed Bogatell beach covered with snow and people enjoying the view. Local media reported the snow stayed intact for a few hours before melting. The extreme weather made the temperature drop as low as -21.5 degrees celsius (-6.7 degrees fahrenheit) at Das, in Gerona, according to local authorities.
