A group of Turkish students in the eastern Turkish province of Bingöl have produced a robot that travels around the Kaaba as a pilgrim to Mecca would . The robot was produced as a part of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) Science Fairs. The robot cost 300 Turkish lira to produce and it carries out all the obligatory functions of Hajj. The robot circumambulates the Kaaba and stops at Mount Arafat.
