Additional video footage that has been made public of the gorilla shooting at Cincinnati Zoo of Ohio, US, shows how the gentle giant rescued the boy from the water after he fell into the enclosure and stood protectively over the unconscious youngster. As the zoo officials shot and killed the animal to ensure the boy's safety, the footage suggests the shooting may not have been necessary.
