In the video, a 65-year-old man and his 12-year-old "child bride" stand in the middle of Times Square posing for wedding photos as a part of a social experiment. It was orchestrated by YouTube personality Coby Persin in order to illustrate the prevalence of the problem around the world, in which 33,000 girls are forced to marry every day. In his description for the video, YouTube star Persin writes: "New Yorkers didn't stand for a child getting married to an older man, and neither should anyone else in the world be OK with it!"
