Police officers flee crime scene before murder

Amateur video showed two policemen running away from a crime scene moments before a man was publicly shot dead in the town of Escuinapa of Sinaloa province in Mexico. Moments after two policemen fled from the crime scene, a 27-year-old man was dragged out of his house, beaten and fatally shot three times. After the video emerged, the mayor of Escuinapa, Bonifacio Bustamante, justified the policemen's actions by saying, "If the police had not fled and instead started shooting without a good strategy, we could have had eight or 10 deaths.” However, the police officers are being charged with homicide.
