Turkey hits another defense milestone with indigenous VOLKAN-M fire control system

Turkey has hit yet another critical milestone when it comes to anti-tank vehicles which are one of the most effective weapons in ground warfare. While M 60TM tanks currently in use by the Turkish Armed Forces have been modernized, all their components are currently undergoing a nationalization process. Under this scope, mobile tank firing tests of the ASELSAN-developped VOLKAN-M Fire Control System have been launched. The shots made from the moving tank aimed at fixed targets were successfully carried out. The new tank fire control system is scheduled to be ready for use by the end of the year.
