Turkish-American Cultural Center in US to be opened by Erdoğan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan opens the largest-ever mosque complex in the United States (US), the Turkish-American Culture and Civilization Center, on April 1. The head of Turkey's religious foundation, Mehmet Görmez will read the Friday sermon in three languages, Turkish, English and Arabic, to emphasize Islam's message of peace and brotherhood. The country's largest-ever mosque complex was built with Turkish funding under the supervision of Turkey's religious foundation (Diyanet), and has the capacity to host 3,000 Muslim believers indoors and outdoors. It is located in Lanham, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, DC.Constructed in the Seljuk architectural style, the Center has a library, conference and exhibition halls, and a reception area. The Center also includes residences, a sports center, a coffee house and a hamam. It aims to tell people about the facts of Islam and guide Muslims in prayers and religious principles. The Turkish-American Cultural Center aims at bringing all Muslims together, to enlighten people about the facts of Islam and guide believers to a correct way. In the Islamic Research center of the complex, students from Turkey studying in the US will be consulted.
