Vehicles removed from flooded parking garage in Türkiye’s quake-hit Sanliurfa

Drone footage has revealed the devastating impact of flash floods that struck southeastern Türkiye's province of Sanliurfa, as dozens of mud-covered vehicles were removed from a flooded parking garage. The floods resulted in 18 deaths across Adiyaman and Sanliurfa provinces, with 16 fatalities in Sanliurfa and two in Adiyaman, according to Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu. Heavy rainfall caused a river to overflow, leading to flooding in Adiyaman's Tut district and Malatya's Dogansehir district. The incident occurred just a month after twin earthquakes hit Adiyaman and Sanliurfa, which left 48,448 people dead and devastated nine other provinces in southern Türkiye.
