Turkey on Thursday defeated Thailand 3-1 in Pool F in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship in Osaka, Japan.

According to a statement by Turkey's Volleyball Federation, the Turkish team -- dubbed "Filenin Sultanları" (Sultans of the Net) -- finished Pool F fifth after defeating Thailand.

Turkey -- competing in Pool F against the U.S., Russia, Thailand, Azerbaijan, Italy, China, and Bulgaria -- was eliminated after being defeated by the U.S. team on Monday.

Being ruled out from the third round, Turkey played their last match in the pool against Thailand.
