Turkish Army says 40 Daesh, 6 PKK/PYD targets are destroyed in Syria on the Euphrates Shield operation's 59th day, while 3 Free Syrian Army soldiers are martyred and 11 others wounded

Turkish Armed Forces has stated that 40 Daesh and six Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)-affiliated Democratic Union Party (PYD) terrorist targets have been hit on the 59th day of the Euphrates Shield operation that was initiated to sweep the terrorist elements from northern Syria, as a support to Free Syrian Army (FSA).



As many as three FSA soldiers were martyred and 11 other were wounded on the same day, the Turkish military stated.



The casualties from FSA was caused by the bomb attack launched by Daesh terrorists in Azaz and Turkmen Bari neighborhoods, the statement added.



Since the beginning of the operation, more than 1,265 square kilometers were cleaned from the terrorist elements.



Also, 31 mines and more than 1,325 explosives were destroyed by the forces.



Meanwhile, the coalition forces have destroyed a terrorist vehicle in an airstrike.



The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and air forces of the U.S.- led anti-Daesh coalition initiated the operation named the "Euphrates Shield" against the terror group on August 24, as a part of Turkey's legitimate self-defense.



Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency and Turkish Red Crescent are providing three meals per day and medical services.
