The Turkish army destroyed dozens of Daesh terrorist targets in fresh shelling in northern Syria, military sources said on Tuesday.

Turkish Armed Forces opened 219 fires on 80 Daesh targets around Dabiq area north of Aleppo, as part of the ongoing military-backed Free Syrian Army's (FSA) Operation Euphrates Shield, the sources said.

The sources said that Fırtına howitzers shelled 199 bombs, while 20 multiple-launch rockets were fired, too.

The operation destroyed weapons depots, four arms-laden vehicles, three motorcycles, and a number of shelters used by terrorists.

Ten FSA fighters killed in clashes with Daesh

During the clashes with Daesh terrorists, 10 FSA moderate opposition fighters were killed on the same day.

Operation Euphrates Shield had been launched by Turkish military-backed FSA forces on Aug 24 in order to clear Turkey's borders of the Daesh terror group.

Approximately a 1000-square-kilometer area along the Turkish border in Northern Syria has been cleared of terrorists as the forces are advancing south.

The Free Syrian Army commander said on Monday that they are preparing for a huge operation for liberating Al Bab, one of the Daesh strongholds in northern Aleppo.

“If everything goes as we planned, we will reach al-Bab within 48 hours," the commander said.

Meanwhile, the U.S.-led coalition forces have carried out nine airstrikes on Daesh targets, killing 12 terrorists and destroying two buildings used by the terrorists.
