Another village liberated during Afrin operation

Turkish military and Free Syrian Army clear two villages of YPG/PKK-Daesh terrorists during Operation Olive Branch

The Turkish military and Free Syrian Army (FSA) on Wednesday liberated two villages in northwestern Syria from the control of YPG/PKK-Daesh terrorists.

According to Anadolu Agency correspondents on the ground, the village of Uverkan in Afrin was cleared during the ongoing Operation Olive Branch.

Later on Wednesday, Turkish and FSA forces liberated the village of Qara Baba in the town of Rajo.

Since the beginning of the operation, 91 targets, including one center of a district, over 63 villages, 20 strategic mountains and hills have been captured from the clutches of terrorists.

On Jan. 20, Turkey launched Operation Olive Branch to clear YPG/PKK-Daesh terrorists from Afrin, northwestern Syria.

According to the Turkish General Staff, the operation aims to establish security and stability along Turkey’s borders and the region as well as protect Syrians from oppression and cruelty of terrorists.
