At least 22 Palestinians were killed in overnight Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, local media reported early Monday.

Five Palestinians, including women and children, lost their lives in an Israeli bombing targeting a house belonging to a family in western Gaza City, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

Israeli warplanes bombed a house in the Sabra neighborhood, where two Palestinian women were killed, some people were injured and others were trapped under the rubble.

Six Palestinians were killed in an Israeli bombing of the house of a family where displaced Palestinians were staying in the Al-Shabura refugee camp in the center of Rafah.

At least four Palestinians were killed and many were injured when Israeli warplanes targeted a house in the Jenina neighborhood of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

Five Palestinians were also killed when the Israeli army targeted another house in Rafah.

Israel has waged a brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7 last year, which Tel Aviv says killed nearly 1,200 people.

More than 34,300 Palestinians have since been killed, mostly women and children, and 77,300 others injured, according to local health authorities.

More than six months into the Israeli war, vast swathes of Gaza lay in ruins, pushing 85% of the enclave's population into internal displacement amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine, according to the UN.

Israel stands accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice. An interim ruling in January ordered Tel Aviv to stop genocidal acts and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.
