Blasts heard at Iranian base near Syria’s Damascus

Explosions were heard in an area which holds a security facility used by Iranian forces south of Syria’s Damascus early Monday morning.

The blasts were heard in Najjah, a neighborhood south of Damascus, at an Iranian electronic warfare facility.

The Syrian regime has not released an official comment.

The blasts come days after explosions were heard near Hama airport. Israeli forces had targeted Iranian targets in Syria last month and it is being evaluated that the country has made a similar attack.
