Death toll climbs to 30 from Dorian in Bahamas: PM

70,000 people need immediate humanitarian assistance such as food, clean drinking water after hurricane devastates island

At least 30 deaths have been recorded in the Bahamas from Hurricane Dorian, Prime Minister Hubert Minnis said Thursday.

Images released by NASA reveal the extent of the destruction caused by the storm to the island.

The UN sent a team to the Bahamas for damage assessment and said 70,000 people need immediate humanitarian assistance, including food and clean drinking water.

Anadolu Agency is providing live broadcasts and instant photos and images of the affects of the hurricane.
