Death toll rises to four in powerful Japan typhoon

Typhoon Trami passed over east, north of country causing landfall, power shortage, says Japan Meteorological Agency

At least four people died and 200 others were injured after Typhoon Trami hit mostly northern and eastern Japan on Sunday through Monday.

According to Kyodo News, local authorities said on Tuesday four people died in the regions of Yamanashi, Shiga, Kyoto and Tottori, while one person went missing in Miyazaki as a result of the deadly typhoon.

Also, more than one million homes across the country suffered power outage as more than 910,000 people were affected by cancellations and delays of train services.

Japan experienced series of typhoons this year in which most recently being Typhoon Jebi in September. Typhoon Jebi left 11 people dead and hundreds of others injured.
