Erdoğan to visit four countries in Africa

President Erdoğan will pay a five-day visit to Africa between Feb. 26 and Mar. 2, consisting of visits to Algeria, Mauritania, Senegal and Mali to discuss bilateral ecenomic relations.

"All aspects of the bilateral relations and cooperation between Turkey and the four countries mentioned above, with each of which Turkey enjoys long-standing historical and cultural ties, as well as the regional and international developments are expected to be addressed during the visits.

"President Erdoğan's official visits to African countries are a concrete indicator of Turkey's will to further deepen its cooperation with the continent within the scope of the African Partnership Policy," according to a statement by the presidency.

Government sources also note that Erdoğan will extend his gratitude to the leaders of those countries for their votes to condemn the U.S's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital at the UN General Assembly.
