A two-month old baby is being worshipped as a god in India after she was born with three upper limbs.

The baby girl, who is otherwise healthy, has a small addition arm and hand growing out of her chest as a result of congenital birth defect.

She was born in the Bilaspur district of the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh on November 2.

The infant’s concerned mother brought her for a check-up at a local health center but it appeared the extra limb was causing her no harm.

The baby has become the talk of the town, and some villagers are even worshipping the baby girl as a god.

Babies born with extra limbs in India are often worshipped as reincarnations of Hindu deities.
