Azerbaijan's Speaker of the National Assembly Ogtay Asedov has said that Iran will never be able to interfere in the country's internal affairs.

According to a local news agency, MP Qudret Hesenquliyev said that after the Israeli Prime Minister's campaign in Baku, threatening statements made by Iran against Azerbaijan would not be left unanswered.

In response to the statement released by Iran's Defense Minister announcing “We cannot tolerate Israel getting closer to Azerbaijan," Hesenquliyev said that the intensification of the relations between Iran and Azerbaijan would cause problems.

'Iran will be wiped off the map'

Hesenquliyev said that if Iran were to attack Azerbaijan, Iran would be wiped off the map and five states would take its place.

“Iran's President visited Armenia, and did we send them a retaliating message in response? That is why we must show respect for one another," said Ogtay Asedov.
