After Turkey announced that a joint military exercise will be launched with Iraq at the Habur border gate, a convoy of 200 vehicles belonging to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK)-affiliated Democratic Union Party (PYD) terrorists left Syria and arrived in Dohuk over Semelka.

The convoy carrying at least one thousand terrorists and heavy weapons will go to Zakho at the Turkish border, and plans to battle on the frontline of a possible operation of the Turkish Armed Forces, according to reports.

Additionally, PKK terrorists also infiltrated Kirkuk. Around 200-250 PKK terrorists equipped with heavy arms were sent to Kirkuk among the forces that Barzani recently deployed.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States. The PKK has been conducting armed violence in the southeastern part of Turkey since 1984. More than 40,000 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in the three-decade long conflict.

The Turkish Armed Forces initiated military drills in the early hours of Sept. 18, a week before the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) independence referendum.
