At least seven people were killed when a missile belonging to the Saudi-led coalition hit rural northwest Yemen about 60 miles from the city of Saada, according to reports.

The deadly missile struck a gasoline station very near to the entrance of Kitaf hospital, leading to the death of at least four children.

The blast seriously damaged waiting rooms of the hospital, which is supported by Save the Children, during the busy morning hours.

“This is a gross violation of humanitarian law,” Jason Lee, Save the Children’s deputy director, said from a telephone call in Yemen.

Tens of thousands of people have died in the war pitting the Houthis against the Saudi-led coalition, which intervened in Yemen in 2015 to restore Hadi's government to power.

The war has displaced over two million people and driven the impoverished Arabian Peninsula country to the verge of famine.
