Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was all smiles at an extravagant Formula E Championship race in Riyadh, continuing to deny any involvement in the murder of slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

He posed for a selfie with a youth in one of his close-ups and held an official’s hand in another at the government-sponsored racing event.

The glamorous occasion, which drew thousands of fans, featured artists such as Enrique Iglesias, David Guetta and The Black Eyed Peas.

The fact that MBS’s close ally Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) also attended the event escaped nobody’s notice.

Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist and prominent critic of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, was murdered at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on Oct.2. The journalist had gone there to collect documents for his forthcoming marriage.

After weeks of saying he had left the consulate alive, the Saudi administration later admitted he was killed there, blaming his death on a group of rogue Saudi operatives.

The case has caused global outrage and has damaged the international standing of the 33-year-old crown prince, the kingdom's de facto ruler.
