Syrians in Denmark on hunger strike over gov’t's plan to repatriate refugees

Syrian refugees in Denmark staged a hunger strike on Friday after the country deemed Damascus and surrounding areas safe for the return of refugees. Refugees gathered outside the Danish parliament building to protest the government's decision. Samir Barakat took refuge in Denmark six years ago could be stripped of his residence permit and asylum status.
