Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday received a delegation led by Turkey's parliament speaker Mustafa Şentop, where both sides agreed to exponentially strengthen relations between the two countries.

Pointing out the importance of the visit to be paid to Shusha, which was liberated from Armenia during the Karabakh War, it was noted that the Shusha Declaration on Allied Relations signed between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey serves to raise bilateral relations to a higher level. The successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in all areas was underlined at the meeting.

Hailing the importance of the first trilateral meeting of the parliamentary speakers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Pakistan to be held in Baku, it was noted that this meeting demonstrates the unity among the three countries. The fraternal relations between Azerbaijan, Turkey and Pakistan were emphasized. The important role of support from both Turkey and Pakistan for Azerbaijan from the first moments of the Patriotic war was underlined.

It was noted that cooperation among the three countries has formed, in a broad sense, new frameworks for collaboration in Eurasia.

The sides praised the successful development of Azerbaijan-Turkey interparliamentary cooperation, and expressed their confidence that the friendly and brotherly relations between the two countries would continue to strengthen and expand.
