The Turkish military neutralized a total of 13 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists in two different counterterrorism operations.
Three terrorists were neutralized in Siirt, a city in southeastern Turkey, on Wednesday.
In another operation in northern Iraq's Zap and Avashin-Basyan region, 10 terrorists were neutralized in an air operation.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women and children.
