A musical organized by Turkey's Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) enthralled its audience in the Dutch capital Friday.
The "Kadesh" musical -- which derives its name from the Treaty of Kadesh, the world’s first peace treaty -- is part of the institute’s "Colors of Anatolia" culture-art tour.
The show includes Anatolian culture in the form of music and folk dances.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, Abdullah Akin Altay, head of YEE Amsterdam, introduced the institute and gave information about its activities.
Altay said that dance brings together people with different cultures and traditions.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency, art director of the dance group Sezgin Aydin said the show was able to introduce "some of the richness of Anatolian culture" to the Dutch audience.
"We want to promote the richness of Anatolia everywhere,” he added.

Known as "the world’s first written peace treaty", the Treaty of Kadesh was signed around 1280 BC between Egyptian Pharaoh Ramesses II and Hittite King Hattusili III to end the Battle of Kadesh, which culminated in the division of modern-day Syrian territories.
Named after a 13th century Turkish poet, the Yunus Emre Institute aims to promote Turkey through public and cultural diplomacy activities.
The main goal of the institution is to build bonds of friendship between Turkey and other countries in order to increase cultural exchange.
With 55 offices abroad, the institute currently operates in over 40 countries.
