Ukraine president promises tax on withdrawn capital

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Tuesday he was ready to initiate a new law that would see capital withdrawals taxed and a tax amnesty to help the economy recover after lockdowns to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

"It is enough to have endless discussions on this topic, it is time to put an end to this issue and I am ready to do it," he told parliament.

He also said that Ukraine continued cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and other international financial organisations.
