Around 650 opponent fighters left the fight after the United States was involved in the Euphrates Shield Operation, Muhammed Fatih Brigade Military Commander Zuhayr İstanbuli has said.

Speaking to Turkish daily Yeni Şafak newspaper, Istanbuli said the Syrian opposition lost a big number of soldiers because of the U.S.' existence in the operation.

"The U.S. is aiming at isolating Turkey in Syria by creating trouble," said the commander, adding that "Luckily, some of the fighters counted on Turkey and didn't want to leave Turkish soldiers by themselves."

"Sixty soldiers entered opponent-held regions through Çobanbey and Havar regions with 13 military vehicles. Also, they always observe the district with binoculars and electronic vehicles, " he said.

The commander also said that the Euphrates Shield Operation continues decidedly as al-Bab will be rescued from Daesh terrorists soon after being able to pull the terrorists to the Raqqa-Meqqen direction.

On Friday, U.S. special forces are accompanying Turkish troops and Free Syrian Army fighters along the Turkish border near Jarabulus and Çobanbey in Syria, the Pentagon said.

Before the report, FSA fighters allegedly made the U.S. military convoy turn back to Turkey, after a huge argument occurred in the Syrian city of al-Rai.

The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and air forces of the U.S.-led anti-Daesh coalition launched Operation Euphrates Shield against the terrorist group on Aug. 24.
